So that I could share all the feels and realize anything I'd missed during my reading. Don't laugh but, in many ways, it reminded me of the types of movies that M. Night Shyamalan often produces where I don't entirely know what's happening through the beginning/middle and I can't entirely guess guess where it's going, but I certainly don't want to look away until it's over. (I mean, I don't know that I've seen any of his movies in recent years, but that's what I recall of them back in the day). I couldn't look away from Pet until it was over and I knew if there would be meaningful resolution. And the very fact that I can remember all these feelings is telling since I read this two years ago (and I tend to forget a lot about books that didn't make as big an impact on me as I thought they would). I didn't think I would read Pet again because of how heavy it was, but now that I know about the companion I just might have to do a re-read before getting to Bitter. Excellent review while having to not reveal too much of the story!! It's a seriously hard one to explain without spelling it all out, isn't it?2Shaye ♪♫https://www.blogger.com/profile/10473467039770299975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890504570198680768.post-55414409876206843352021-11-08T15:51:34.619-08:002021-11-08T15:51:34.619-08:00I've heard many say that this book is amazing,...I've heard many say that this book is amazing, but I agree with Helen above that personally it doesn't sound appealing to me.I've been pleasantly surprised by other books before and this is probably one that I'd like more than I thought.Lisa Maucionehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17391834262945101696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890504570198680768.post-39719042172468528672021-11-08T11:40:56.124-08:002021-11-08T11:40:56.124-08:00I'm with you on Old Navy, but they are the onl...I'm with you on Old Navy, but they are the only place my daughter can find jeans that fit.
