Because I'm a writer, I can offer a constructive critique of why I think something went wrong. So I appreciate what you're trying to do here!

Linda Brownehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17473940473548003699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890504570198680768.post-55164695658403665442022-02-10T08:03:54.450-08:002022-02-10T08:03:54.450-08:00When I first read that article in the New Yorker I...When I first read that article in the New Yorker I sent it off to people in my book club to read. Margaret Wise Brown was a fascinating woman! I managed to figure out how to access that article from the NYT's magazine. It is an eye opening article. Have you read Caste by Isabel Wilkerson? Also, thanks for this review. I probably wouldn't read this anyway, but it's good to no not to bother finding out personally. Thanks ...Wow, what a thoughtful and complex review. Thanks for all the thought you put into this. I must admit, I really enjoyed this book on audio, found it hilarious, and just sort of went along for the ride! But I definitely see your point that it DOES try to be deep and insightful. I just let myself be entertained by it! I liked it for all the reasons you so eloquently described in the first half of your review. Now I need to read The Cerulean Sea!

Sue
Book By BookSue Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14532098225905355332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2890504570198680768.post-49378477277260903032022-02-07T17:51:48.977-08:002022-02-07T17:51:48.977-08:00Hilarious is good. It almost looks like it could be. I'll probably pass, but when I read complete reviews like yours, I feel better about my knowledge of the adult books that are out that. Probably will pass, but appreciate your coverage. Ms. Yinglinghttp://msyinglingreads.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
