Completely Full Bookshelf

So I got COVID for the first time, which I'm not really thrilled about, I must say. My case is fairly mild, although there have definitely been ups and downs. I got on Paxlovid as fast as humanly possible, and I assume it's helping, since I trust empirical research and all that. Thanks to my mom's suggestion, warm honey water has been my best friend—the heat melts all the stupid post-nasal drip in my throat, and the honey coats and soothes all the sore spots and also adds some nice sweetness. (Why don't I eat honey more often? It's really tasty.) My mom has also  been reminding me to drink things that aren't  honey water so I don't lose all my electrolytes—thank gosh for my mom, y'all. Anyway, while my social life is entirely virtual and my body is a vessel for parasitic little demons, I figure I might as well pull my reading life together! Happy new year, everyone! Today I'm excited to be recommending the fifth book in the Click  series of MG graphic novels, Crunch  by Kayla Miller! To be frank, y'all, I related to this book so much  that it was honestly painful at times—like, I knew I was thrilled to see a book about navigating an overflowing to-do list, but the specific mistakes Olive makes were so similar to the ones I am making in my own life that it hurt a little bit. Hello everyone! I was very sad to miss everyone's posts last week, but there was just way  too much going on for me to get around to reading what people had to say. I hope I'll be able to fix that this week! Fortunately, I still have time to read and talk about books, and I'm here with a great one today: the graphic novel Clash  by Kayla Miller! What a week. I'm not going to get into everything except to say that I am of course utterly appalled and disgusted by the anti-trans legislation in Arkansas. I heard from others that there is a small nonprofit organization in Arkansas called Intransitive that supports transgender people and is advocating against these laws; consider making a donation! Unfortunately, I don't have the mental fortitude for a full super-depressed write-up on that mess—at the rate we're going in the world, I would never actually have any time to review books—but I did want to mention the situation quickly. For MMGM, I am recommending the graphic novel Click  by Kayla Miller.           The main character of Click , fifth-grader Olive, is friends with basically every kid in her grade. She can strike up a conversation with anyone in school, and she often spends time with her classmates outside of school as well.
