Since today is Thanksgiving, I decided I would talk about something I'm thankful for. However, I'm taking a departure from books to tell you about my favorite children's show of all time: Steven Universe . And if you're reading this thinking, Why would I watch a kids' show when I'm not a kid? , the reason is the same as why you would read a kids' book: because they're great! MMGM (1/20/2020): Queen of the Sea by Dylan Meconis

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! For MMGM, I am recommending the graphic novel  Queen of the Sea  by Dylan Meconis.           Queen of the Sea  is a historically inspired graphic novel set in the 1500s on an island off the country of Albion (loosely based on the U.K.). The book's protagonist and narrator, Margaret, is a child who lives on this island, a remote convent populated only by six nuns, a priest, and three staff. Margaret does not know who her parents were or why she has come to live on the island; she only knows that she was brought to the nuns aboard the Regina Maris (a ship that visits the island twice a year) and has lived with them ever since. Margaret has not left the island since arriving, but she has grown accustomed to the island's unaltered beauty and her life at the convent, ultimately preparing to become a nun as an adult. MMGM and #IMWAYR (2/15/2021): TRIPLE REVIEW of The Witch Boy, The Hidden Witch, and The Midwinter Witch, all by Molly Knox Ostertag

So here's a funny story. For my Four Weeks of Witches event, I planned to review a graphic novel I had on my shelf called The Witch Boy , written by Molly Knox Ostertag (I discovered this book because Ostertag is actually the wife of the multitalented author of The Fire Never Goes Out , ND Stevenson). So I grabbed The Witch Boy  and read it. And it was so good  that I wanted more. And there was more. Two sequels, to be exact, The Hidden Witch  and The Midwinter Witch . So I ordered them on Amazon. And I read both of them as well, all in the span of about a week. And they weren't just so good , they were even better  (a quality rarely found in sequels). And because I am but a humble servant of the book gods who bring us these gracious gifts, I determined that the best way to convey how absolutely amazing this series is would be to review the whole series in one mega-review, thus illustrating the fact that I literally read all three of these books in one week bec...
